Process to selecting a German Shepherd Puppy

Bringing a puppy home from Golden Ridge is a thoughtful and guided experience. Every step is designed to ensure the right match between our puppies and the families who welcome them.

1. Submit a Puppy Application

This allows us to learn about your home, lifestyle, and goals so we can guide you appropriately.

2. Initial Phone Consultation

After reviewing your application, we will connect by phone.
This conversation is an important step where we discuss:

Your experience with the breed
Household structure and lifestyle
Goals for your future dog
Health testing Practices at Golden RIdge

We take this time to ensure our program aligns with what you are looking for.

3. Approval & Reservation or Waiting List

Once approved, a $500- $1,000 reservation fee secures your place on a current or upcoming litter.

Reservations are honored in the order they are received. Availability is limited and can shift as new reservations are placed.

4. Litter Updates & Development

From birth through development, puppies are raised in our home with intentional structure and early exposure.

We focus on:

Stability and confidence
Environmental exposure
Early engagement and problem-solving

Families receive updates as the litter progresses.

5. Puppy Selection

Puppy selections take place around 7 weeks of age.

Selection is guided based on:

Temperament
Structure
Suitability for your home and goals

Our role is to help ensure each puppy is placed where they will thrive long-term.

6. Going Home

Puppies go home between 8–9 weeks of age with:

Age-appropriate vaccinations
Documented Health Records
Microchip registration
Puppy starter guidance

We provide continued support as your puppy transitions into your home.

These list are not by number but by detail of the best suited match. Please know that details such as Sex, Coat type, Purpose are essential to knowing which list is better suited.

Reserved List:

Estimated Duration: Approximately 1 to 6 months.

A limited number of customers will be accepted for each upcoming litter. A puppy will be reserved. This relationship will evolve as we engage through provided updates regarding the development of the litters.

Pricing varies by litter and is based on the quality of the parents, including their health testing, titles, and proven pedigree.
